Freshwater pearl - Freshwater cultured Pearls are formed inside freshwater mussels rather than the customary sea water oyster. They are affordable yet elegant and classy and can be cultured to come in all different colours; pink, black etc.

Tiger's Eye - Tiger's Eye has, since ancient times, been worn for good luck and protection against evil and witchcraft. It can be used to help hypochondria and asthma. The colour is brown in bands or stripes of varying shades. It has a translucent sheen associated with the cat’s eye, hence the name.

Aventurine - Aventurine (a member of the quartz family) is sometimes referred to as an all-purpose healer, which means that not only can it be used for physical disorders, but also for healing on all other levels (i.e emotional). The colour green is generally known as a healing colour and Aventurine itself can be used to dissolve energy blockages in the body. It is most useful at stressful times when worn close to the heart.

Turquoise - (december birthstone) One of the main compounds of Turquoise is copper. This is what gives it the blue/green colour. It can be combined with the Azurite stone. Turquoise can often be used to get rid of negative feelings, emotions etc.

Rose Quartz - This is one of the most saught after varieties of quartz. The pink/rose red colour is very unique and is caused by iron and titanium impurities, which makes the it very different from other pink mineral species. Rose Quartz can sometimes be too opaque to be used as a gemstone but can also be a very unique stone in jewellery design

Amethyst - (february birthstone) Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz and is a very popular gemstone in jewellery design. Amethyst would be very expensive If it wasn't for the widespread availability of it. The name "Amethyst" comes from Ancient Greek and means "not drunken". This may be due to the wine colour of certain Amethyst stones people would encounter. Amethyst comes in all shades of purple and is the most expensive of purple gems.

Citrine (November birthstone) - Citrine is another variety of quartz. It ranges in colour from a pale yellow to brown. Citrine has ferric impurities, and is rarely found naturally. Most commercial citrine is in fact artificially heated amethyst or smoky quartz. Brazil is the leading producer of citrine, with much of its production coming from the state of Rio Grande do Sul. Citrine is one of three traditional birthstones for the month of November.

Black Onyx - Onyx is a cryptocrystalline form of quartz. Believed to promote power, it is perhaps the most famous variety. It is a stunning bead of pure black stone. Some Onyx is natural but much is produced by the staining of agate. It is said to deflect or absorb the negativity of others, and in that way is a good stone for protection from negative forces and influences.

Salmon Pink Coral - Coral is an empty home of a marine animal and grows in branchlike formations. The colour usually found is red, but it also can be found in pink, black, white and blue. The black variety is especially protected as it is endangered and should not be purchased. American Indians regarded coral as a symbol of vitality. It is said to bring inner peace, intuition and imagination.Coral is very hard to find these days but dyed Coral is an alternative which is just as beautiful and used by many. Coral goes beautifully with Rose Quartz, Freshwater Pearls, Black Onyx, Opal, Turquoise and lot of other gems and colours.

Light Topaz Swarovski Crystal - This is one of the finest crystals produced in the world today, which makes it somewhat expensive but is indeed noted for its purity, brilliance and reflective qualities. Swarovski is the luxury brand name for its range of precision-cut lead crystal glass products.
